Tough matchup.
Some lists play 1-2 Blood Moon maindeck1, and most play Fury in the sideboard.
Murktide can disrupt us very late in our combo with Dress Down.
Watch out for Archmage’s Charm stealing your Kaldra Compleat Germ token.
Post-board, beware Brotherhood’s End, which is a slam dunk card against us and hammer.
We can win the game quicker than them on average. Learn the deck’s turn 2 and turn 3 kill lines and be prepared to see them.
Mana dorks make good chump blockers. Kaldra Compleat is a great tool to stall.
When trying to interact, know that most lists a mix of Blacksmith’s Skill and Spell Pierce in the maindeck2.
If the creativity player knows you have Orvar, the All-Form, they can often plan to win with Fury or stall the game until they can Indomitable Creativity with X=3.
Dauthi Voidwalker can blank Tyvar, Jubilant Brawler.
Watch out for Blood Moon! We have an interesting tension between cutting birds because of Fury and wanting them for mana fixing because of Blood Moon.
This is a matchup where Engineered Explosives would be very good.
Watch out for artifact removal. Shadowspear and Kaldra Compleat are very hard for burn to deal with. Haywire Mite can chump block and gain a little life.
Race them to the finish!
We can combo more quickly. Vizier of Remedies shuts off their ability to kill our creatures outside of Grist, the Hunger Tide.
This is a very difficult matchup, especially because of Solitude and Teferi, Time Raveler.
We are very weak to Tasha’s Hideous Laughter.
Being milled makes Tyvar, Jubilant Brawler very strong.
Living End usually plays very little removal, but can play Foundation Breaker and Force of Vigor.
We can kill our own Devoted Druid in response to Living End to make it come back into play, sometimes enabling us to combo off before they kill us.
Beware of Leyline of Sanctity and Leyline of the Void post-board.
